Terry Gillespie: Music
Heaven's Radio Recording Studio
(Terry Gillespie)
I have a recording studio attached to my house in the old drive shed. Who would have thought; it it is exactly the same dimensions as BBC studio 3 - what a stroke of luck.
Everybody who has recorded here - is pleased with the results, the process and the environment.
The studio is large enough to record a 6-7 piece band live, though I prefer to lay down tracks and overdub.
Peter Karp, Nashvville wrote to me recently;
I've been meaning to write you both to thank you for your time, talent, hospitality and friendship. I have never felt more at ease or confident in a work situation... maybe because it was not a work situation at all - rather an easy exchange of ideas between collaborators and cohorts who see it all in the big picture.
I am looking forward to sharing more quality time, good food, stimulating talk, beer and stogies upon my return.
Onward!
Until then
I remain,
a fan and friend,
and always
appreciatively yours,
PK

Peter and I went in to Heaven's Radio Studios in Vankleek Hill in mid-Dec with my old friend and musical mentor Terry Gillespie at the console. We spent 3 days and got most everthing in the can.
The stuff is killer...all acoustic, warm and soulful.
We will post some previews soon on our myspace pages.

I have accommodations attached to the studio at a very reasonable rate that allows musicians and bands to come to the studio and stay on-site until the job is done.
My partner is the studio is Fred Torak, a Canadian pioneer in digital recording. (Actually he is my secret weapon.) Not to mention he opened for The Beatles in Montreal and was the arranger & producer for the award winning band Harmonium.
